What is sugaring?

Sugaring is an ancient, natural hair removal technique that uses an organic paste made from three simple ingredients: sugar, water, and lemon juice. The paste is applied to the skin at body temperature, eliminating any risk of burning or heat-induced skin irritation. Unlike traditional wax that sticks to live skin cells, sugar paste binds only to dead skin cells and hair shafts.

During treatment, an esthetician molds the soft sugar paste against the natural direction of hair growth and flicks it off in the natural direction of growth. Removing hair in its natural direction pulls the entire follicle from the root without snapping hairs off at the surface. This process results in less pain, fewer ingrown hairs, and smoother skin that lasts for weeks. Sugaring is eco-friendly, natural, and gentle on sensitive skin, making it suitable for all skin types.
